“It hardly seems fair, but summer is coming to an end…soon. Whether you love it or hate it, chilly fall weather is fast approaching. It just so happens that I love the fall! In fact, I’d even go so far as to say it’s my favorite season.
There’s more to fall than just pumpkin spice lattes. In the hills, it may be the most beautiful time of year to enjoy the outdoors, with splashes of gold-colored leaves scattered across the landscape. The cooler temperatures help to make longer hikes and strenuous outdoor activities a bit more comfortable and enjoyable.
According to my own, totally unbiased opinion, fall seasonal beer releases are perhaps the most exciting part of autumn. One of the most iconic beers for this time of year is Oktoberfest. Miner Oktoberfest is made using Vienna and Munich malts, Hallertauer hops, and our well water. It is orange-amber in color and features a distinctive toasty malt flavor, indicative of the style. It’s a perfect companion beer to enjoy with the cooler weather and changing fall colors.
Stop in soon and try one of our new seasonal beer releases, and we can discuss the merits (or demerits) of everything from pumpkin spice to flannels!” – Charlie Poehls, Senior Brewery Lead
